What documents are required to rent a car?
To rent a car from 24rent.md in Chișinău, the following documents are required:
- A valid passport or national ID card
- A valid national driving license with at least 1 year of driving experience
- A bank card in your name for the security deposit
- For foreign citizens: an international driving permit or an authorized translation of the national license
All documents must be valid for the entire car rental period.
How can I rent a car?
Renting a car at 24rent.md is simple and fast:
- Choose your desired car from our available fleet in Chișinău
- Select the rental period and any additional options needed
- Book online or call our phone number
- Confirm the reservation and provide the necessary documents
- Pick up the car from our office in Chișinău or enjoy delivery to your address
The process takes about 15-20 minutes for customers who have all documents ready.
What is the minimum age to rent a car?
The minimum age for renting a car at 24rent.md is 21 years, with the following conditions:
- Minimum driving experience of 1 year
- For certain premium car categories, the minimum age may be 25 years
- Drivers aged between 21–23 may be subject to an additional young driver fee
These requirements ensure safety and compliance with car insurance conditions.
Is a deposit required to rent a car?
Yes, a security deposit is required for car rental, which can be paid by:
- Bank card (the amount is temporarily blocked on the card)
- Cash (the amount is refunded upon returning the car)
The deposit amount varies between 200–500 EUR depending on the rented car model. The deposit is fully refunded after returning the car in good condition, without damages or fines.
What happens if I return the car late?
In case of late return of the rented car:
- No additional charges apply for delays of up to 1 hour
- For delays between 1 and 3 hours, the agreed hourly rate will be charged
- For delays over 3 hours, a full day’s rental rate will be applied
- It is mandatory to inform the company of any delay to avoid complications
We recommend respecting the agreed return times to avoid additional costs.
Can I travel with the rented car outside the country?
Yes, with cars rented from 24rent.md you can travel outside the Republic of Moldova under the following conditions:
- Prior notification to the company about your intention to travel abroad
- Payment of an additional fee for international insurance
- Obtaining the necessary documents (Green Card, authorization for leaving the country)
- Compliance with the countries allowed according to the rental contract
Not all cars can be used for international travel – please check availability when booking.
What types of insurance are included?
All cars rented from 24rent.md include the following types of insurance:
- Mandatory RCA (civil liability insurance)
- CASCO with a deductible for own damages
- Theft insurance
- 24/7 roadside assistance within the territory of the Republic of Moldova
Optionally, you can purchase additional insurance for:
- Reducing the deductible to zero
- Tire and glass insurance
- Insurance for international travel
